Join the Park Ridge Public Library on Wednesday, June 26, for an old-fashioned evening of carnival games, bluegrass music, roving performers, and a once-in-a-century, history-making “Hands Around the Library” set to take place during our annual summer lawn event! “Hands Around the Library” will be the largest human chain ever seen in Park Ridge, winding all the way around the building and culminating in a rousing chorus of “Happy Birthday” to celebrate the Library’s anniversary. The moment will be photographed from the roof of the Pickwick Building. Musical entertainment will be provided by the Third Sunday String Band. Co-sponsored with our good friends at Liberty Bank, the lawn event takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic basket and blanket to enjoy on the lawn; we’ll also be offering free Italian ice for everyone! (Please note: In the case of inclement weather, the Lawn Event will be brought indoors. We regret that no food can be brought into the Library.) Schedule for Summer Lawn Event 2013 Games: 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Bean Bag Toss Duck Pond Magic Boxes Egg Races Face Painting Bingo Guessing Jar Liberty Bank Money Machine Ring Toss All games are located on the Library Lawn and commons, 20 S.
