Cook County Wants Maine Township Annexation
The Park Ridge Herald-Advocate reports that Cook County would like to see portions of Maine Township annexed by nearby municipalities.
Cook County would like to see Park Ridge, Niles and Des Plaines to annex unincorporated portions of Maine Township, the Park Ridge Herald-Advocate reported.
The area has about 24,000 residents. The newspaper reported that the Cook County Task Force on Unincorporated Land is pushing for the area to eventually be annexed by municipalities.
