PARK RIDGE, IL - Higgins Road has been temporarily closed near where Dee Road becomes East River Road in Park Ridge early Tuesday afternoon. Park Ridge police have responded to a traffic accident at Higgins and Dee, according to a <a href="https://local.nixle.com/alert/6268617/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Nixle alert from the Park Ridge Police</a> Department. The eastbound lanes of Higgins were closed at 11:53 a.m., according to the alert. The lanes are expected to open soon, police said. Rosemont Uncorked returns to Parkway Bank Park in Rosemont on June 6–7, 2026, with two days of outdoor wine tasting, live music, and easy access from Chicago and the suburbs.
