Enjoy Frosty Fun on the Rinks, Hills
The Park Ridge area has several places you can enjoy ice skating, sledding hills and more during the next several months of colder weather.

Bundle up and get outdoors to enjoy plenty of winter fun with the Park Ridge Park District.
Warming shelters and seasonal facilities are available December 24-February 26 from dawn to dusk when weather permits.
Ice Skating

Ice Skating is available at the following parks:
- South Park, 833 West Talcott Rd. (Talcott and Cumberland)
- Northwest Park, 1200 N. Dee Rd. (Northwest Highway and Glenview)
- Woodland Park, 1200 N. Western Ave.
The Outdoor Ice Rinks cannot be made until there are four consecutive days of below freezing temperatures to allow the ground sufficient time to freeze.

Hockey is only allowed in designated areas. Weaving, fast reckless, & backwards skating, throwing objects onto the rink, smoking and loitering and rough games and horseplay are prohibited.
Skating or Sledding at the outdoor facilities is at your own risk. The sled hill and ice rinks will be closed if the wind chill is lower than -20 degrees F or if the temperature is below 10 degrees.
Indoor ice skating is available at the Oakton Ice Arena at 2800 West Oakton. For more information on open skate times and dates, log on to their website.
Sledding
Sledding is available at Centenniel Park, 100 S. Western Ave.
Skis or snowboards are not allowed, only sleds. The sled hills are unsupervised. Sled at your own risk. Construction of ramps are not permitted.
