Race through Park Ridge by following the clues given at each
participating location. Be the first team to make it to all of the checkpoints, complete all tasks and arrive at the Closing Ceremonies at the Park Ridge Public Library. Everyone who completes the race will be entered to win a prize!
AMAZING RACE RULES
• The race runs from 6-8 pm.
• There are a limited number of clues, so you may be asked to race in teams.
• Each clue has two parts. The first directs you to a business. The second requires you to identify something in the business in order to receive the next clue.
• The clues are divided into three color groups: red, yellow and blue. Be sure every clue you receive has the sam...e color dot as the one you started with. Don’t mix up the colors because it will keep you from getting all the clues you need to finish the race.
• You must solve the clue for each participating business and have a sticker on your race card from each business to be eligible for a drawing for an awesome, community, “Shop Local” gift basket worth over $200 in coupons, gift certificates and products.
• A clue is on the outside of each envelope. If you get stuck, you may open the envelope to reveal the name of the business.
• Once you complete every clue and have a sticker next to the name of each business on your race card, return your race card to the library no later than 8 pm.
• At the library, a First Friday volunteer will take your card and give you 1 ticket for completing the race. Write your name, phone number and/or email on this ticket and give it back to the volunteer.
• You will receive an additional ticket for each purchase you made in a participating business. (Be sure to have the business add a stamp to your race card.) Write your name, phone number and/or email on every ticket. Give the tickets back to the volunteer.
• The winner of the awesome, community, “Shop Local” gift basket will be notified by e-mail on Monday, August 6th.
• All race cards must be turned in at the library by 8 pm.
