FEMA Extends Registration Deadline for Flood Assistance

Park Ridge residents have until August 8 to apply for flood assistance from FEMA for damage that occurred as a results of severe storms and flooding earlier this year, the city of Park Ridge is reporting. Residents impacted are encouraged to register with FEMA.
The assistance is available only for those who suffered damage in one of 35 designated counties during the storms and flooding from April 16 to May 5.
Representatives from FEMA came to Park Ridge this spring to assess the local damage from the storms. In the wake of the storm, the city received 1,500 flood survey forms and photos from residents.
You can register for assistance at www.disaster.assistance.gov or via web-enabled phone at m.fema.gov. Applicants may also call 800-621-3362 or (TTY) 800-462-7585.
