Grand Opening of Newly Revamped Avenues to Independence Thrift Shoppe

On Saturday, June 7, Avenues to Independence will host a grand opening of its revitalized Thrift Shoppe, which has undergone a major facelift. Visitors are invited to attend the ribbon cutting and tour the newly expanded space. Shoppers will receive a $10 Grand Opening discount on all purchases over $20.

For more than 35 years, the Thrift Shoppe has provided valuable funding for Avenues to Independence (Avenues) programs. It offers gently used clothing, shoes, china, household items, small appliances, collectibles, books, toys and giftware as well as a boutique featuring unique items created by Avenues program participants.

The expanded store now features 1,000 additional square feet, including space for employment training and entrepreneurial projects that Avenues program participants make and sell at the store. All sales proceeds support Avenues programs and program participants.
