Growing Number of Volunteers Join Khan's Campaign For State Representative

Park Ridge native Mo Khan's campaign for State Representative has been receiving support from a growing number of volunteers. "From day one, volunteers have been the strength of our campaign," Khan says. "Their commitment is incredible," Khan states. "And to see so many young folks getting involved in the political process for the first time is inspiring!" 

Despite the less than ideal weather today, many volunteers went knocking on doors in Illinois' 20th House District to meet voters and to share with them Khan's vision of a better Illinois. Numerous other volunteers made phone calls to area residents to share their enthusiasm for the campaign.

Today's campaign canvass effort concludes a strong week for the Khan campaign -- one that began with the endorsement of United States Senator Tom Harkin.

"With less than a month till the March 18th primary, we are doing the same thing that we have been doing since day one: working hard to meet voters throughout the district," Khan says.  "Votes are earned, not given -- and we plan to earn them."

Mo Khan is a 2003 graduate of Maine South High School, received an Accounting degree from the University of Iowa in 2007 and is in the process of earning a Law degree from the Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He has previously served as a Traveling Aide to Hillary Clinton during the 2008 Presidential Campaign and as Special Assistant to Alexi Giannoulias during the 2010 U.S. Senate Campaign.

Khan has been endorsed by: United States Senator Tom Harkin, Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky, The Illinois Federation of Teachers, Personal Pac, Planned Parenthood IL, AFSCME Council 31, Citizen Action Illinois, Asian American Action Fund - Greater Chicago, The Illinois Observer and Maine Township Regular Democratic Organization.
