Hearts and Hands Canine Massage Event

Have you ever had a massage?
How did you feel afterward?
Exhilarated, reduced pain and discomfort or calm and relaxed?  Our dogs need massage too!  Canine massage is so much more than just
petting; it is touch with intent.  Here
are just a few ways that dogs from puppies to seniors benefit from massage…

  • Helps with
early detection of health problems through ongoing assessment of your dog
  • Relaxes and
    calms an anxious/nervous dog
  • Promotes
    healthy skin and hair/coat
  • Improves/increases
    blood and lymphatic circulation
  • Helps
eliminate toxins and boosts the immune system
  • Enhances
    performance for the canine athlete
  • Prevents injuries
by increasing range of motion and improving muscle tone
  • Relieves
    tension, pain, and discomfort
  • Eases the
pain and soreness from chronic conditions like arthritis and hip dysplasia
    through release of endorphins
  • Opens blood
vessels allowing blood to flow freely carrying oxygen to the cells and
    disposing of waste/by-products
  • Heightens
    focus, concentration, and alertness
  • Relieves
    age-related problems
  • Brings
palliative care and comfort to the end-of-life dog

Nationally Certified Canine Massage Therapist, Jackie Limosani, will
discuss how massage will strengthen the bond between you and your dog, demonstrate
various massage techniques you can use to calm, invigorate, and relieve stress
and tension in your pets, as well as explain the physical and emotional
benefits your canine companion will receive through regular massaging.
