The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has released the annual Proposed Multi-Model Multi-Year Transportation Plan covering the years of FY15-FY20. This plan presents the proposed highway, rail, and transit projects scheduled to be funded during the entire covered period. A specific plan for FY15 will be released later this summer.
The Multi-Year Program is funded with a combination of federal, state, and local funds. Primary state revenue sources include the Motor Fuel Tax and Motor Vehicle Registration. IDOT has posted additional details at http://www.dot.state.il.us/mmtip1520/mmtimprov.htm .
