Keller Williams Realty helps stock Maine Township Food Pantry

Keller Williams Realty agents in the Park Ridge office helped replenish Maine Township's Food Pantry with more than 5,000 pounds of food.

More than 5,000 pounds of food was delivered to the Maine Township Food Pantry when Keller Williams Realty agents in the Park Ridge office came together to replenish the food that feeds hungry people in Maine Township. Founded in 1981, the food pantry helps supplement the nutritional needs of township residents in distress.

This 9th Annual Keller Williams Realty R.E.D. Day, which stands for “Renew, Energize and Donate” continues a Keller Williams company-wide initiative which was founded by Mo Anderson, vice chair of Keller Williams Realty, Inc. For the past nine years Mo Anderson’s birthday has been celebrated as R.E.D Day.

Park Ridge Mayor Marty Maloney proclaimed May 11, the date of the food drive, as Keller Williams RED Day in Park Ridge. Jewel Food Stores both in Park Ridge and in Des Plaines, and Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s in Park Ridge helped with donations.

"It is wonderful that Keller Williams recognizes the importance of our community stakeholders in serving those less fortunate or in need," said Laura Morask, Maine Township Supervisor. “Because of this incredibly generous donation from Keller Williams, we will be able to service many more families."
