Learn Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About Sewers
Residents can learn at a special meeting next month about existing sewers in the community, and new projects that may help ease flooding concerns in Park Ridge.

Park Ridge is ready to teach residents all they've ever wanted to know about sewers. Next month, the council is holding a special "Sewer 101" meeting, reports the Chicago Tribune.
On Sept. 9, at the public meeting residents can learn all about the city's sewer system, and what is being done to help with flood in the area. Residents can even come up with questions ahead of time to have answered about what the city has in place in terms of sewer systems, and what it is planning for improvements. The idea for the meeting arose in July after residents complained of flooding in the 800 block of Marvin Parkway. At the same meeting, aldermen approved $2.7 million in flood-mitigation projects, and $214,075 in engineering work on the projects.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
