I was appalled after reading the December 15 Herald-Advocate article about a potential City of Park Ridge mayoral candidate who said “I don’t think that’s important.” The article also reported that the candidate has not previously held any elected position nor served on any appointed city commission, committee or board. As a natural-born resident of Park Ridge, I find his comment highly offensive and his lack of experience extremely concerning.
Was Head Coach David Inserra just handed the top job for the State Champion Maine South Hawks with zero experience? Absolutely not! As a former Hawk football alumni, I personally saw Coach Inserra gain experience as an assistant coach first. Then only after many successful years of proving his value to the program, was he finally given the opportunity and great responsibility of being in charge of it.

So, I encourage all Park Ridge voters in this important election to look at the facts. Do you think it is wise to support a candidate with zero experience or one that has been serving our fine community for years on the Park Board, as 7th Ward Alderman and as Acting Mayor?
I know one thing; Martin Maloney is getting my family’s support.
