Liberty celebrates 10th anniversary in Park Ridge with scholarship giveaway

In 2005 Liberty Bank for Savings, an $850-million Chicago bank, opened its doors at its Park Ridge branch at 1018 Touhy. To celebrate these 10 years in the town where Liberty has become has become an integral part of everything from Little League to the local senior center, the bank will give away ten $1000 scholarships during December. Winners will be chosen at random in January.

To enter, simply visit the Park Ridge office and complete an entry slip agreeing that the funds will be used for education. That includes books, tuition, and/or housing for pre-school, K-8, high school, college, or adult education. Parents and grandparents can enter to benefit their children or grandchildren. The contest is limited to one entry per person who must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of the United States.

“We see education as the key to personal and economic growth, and a healthy and peaceful world. For many years, we’ve enrolled children in our financial literacy program that gives $5 to each child receiving an A on their report card,” said Jaime Roman, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager for Liberty Bank, Park Ridge.
