Library Awarded Grant for Common Core Materials

Thanks to a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) administered by the Illinois State Library, the Park Ridge Public Library has been able to purchase new material supporting the Common Core Curriculum that is now being implemented across the state of Illinois.

Our hope is that these materials will help teachers as they develop lesson plans and assignments, as well as students working to complete those assignments. The new books and audio visual materials are available for students in grades K-6 in Children’s Services, and teens in grades 7-12 in the Young Adult Loft and Reference section.
