Maine Township Garage Sale Breaks Records

Even after nine years, the Maine Township Community Garage Sale proves even more popular than ever.

The Maine Township Community Garage Sale in its ninth year proved you can keep getting better. The Sept. 27 event saw an all-time high number of vendors at 82, the highest gross revenue at $4,727.59 and what some felt was the best weather ever. Here, l to r, Township Supervisor Carol A. Teschky, Cook County Commissioner Peter Silvestri, a sponsor, and Trustees Kimberly Jones and Walter Kazmierczak, enjoy the day checking out the many bargains.

Approximately $3,600 will go to the MaineStay Adventure Day Camp for disadvantaged children and $1,181 to the Township’s Emergency Food Pantry. The annual event continues to be popular with vendors, attendees and sponsors. For more information and photos visit www.mainetownship.com.
