Facebook page, and opens its website. The elections are on April 4,
2017.
Supervisor Candidate Laura Morask stated, “We are really excited to
introduce our Republican Unity Slate to residents as we have such a
great mix of experience and fresh faces who are united in the goal of
fiscal responsibility to our Township and providing the award winning

“We invite everyone to our kick-off fundraiser for a night of unity,
great food and guest speakers,” she adds. “I also invite our residents
to meet the candidates and join our team on our website at www.MaineTownshipRepublicans.com or ‘Like’ our Facebook page to stay updated.”
Members of the slate will also participate in the Candidates’ Forum co-sponsored by the Republican Women of Park Ridge and the Maine Township Republicans Women’s’ Club starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 16 at Prospect Park in Park Ridge.

A week later all are invited to their President’s Day Fundraiser
at Countryside Saloon on Ballard Road in Des Plaines on February 23
from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Ticket information is available on the website or
from any slate member.
“Our fundraiser promises to be a fun
filled festive tribute to our Founding Fathers whose principles of
government of the people, by the people and for the people, we pledge to
carry on,” Morask says.
The Republican Unity Slate consists of Laura Morask for Supervisor,
Peter Gialamas for Clerk, Walter Kazmierczak for Highway Commissioner,
Susan Moylan Krey for Assessor, Kimberly Jones for Trustee, Kelly
Schaefer for Trustee, David Carrabotta for Trustee, and Susan Sweeney
for Trustee. Morask, Kazmierczak and Krey are running unopposed.
“The Republicans of Maine Township are thrilled to support a strong
and united GOP slate of Township nominees. The slate represents both
experienced incumbents and dedicated newcomers who are known throughout
the Township for their commitment to public service and good
government. With this GOP team in office, taxpayers can rest assured
that their Township will continue to protect valuable services and
programs, but also find new ways to become more efficient and save tax
dollars,” says Char Foss-Eggemann, Republican Committeeman.
Morask, currently a Township Trustee, says Townships are the
government closest to the people and at Maine Township we offer an
exceptional level of resident services while keeping your tax rate for
such services lower than 2% of your property tax bill. We have been one
of the only local governments to consistently balance our budget and
keep the property tax levy flat, all while operating with zero debt.
She adds, “That is good government.”
