Meet Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce member, Emily Wilderman!

Emily Wilderman has been the owner of WineStyles Park Ridge since January 2014. Having always wanted to own her own business in addition to her love of wine, she saw this venture as the perfect opportunity. As her business began to grow she became more passionate about helping people learn and discover new wines and craft beers that are perfectly paired with their palette!

"I encourage people to be open to trying all wines, even if they think they won't like it. Just because it's the same grape it can taste very different depending on where its coming from or what decisions the winemaker has made. So my advice is to taste as many wines as possible to start to figure out what "style" you like. Right now, our most popular wine is Los Primos White Blend from Argentina. It's a really unique wine that is a Sauvignon Blanc blend with a touch of sweet and a little bubble that tastes great all year round," said Wilderman.

WineStyles Park Ridge offers convenient weekly wine tastings, small food plates, and a by-the-glass menu which give customers the opportunity to try a variety of wines before they make their final purchase. Most bottles of wine range between $10-$30. WineStyles Park Ridge also offers a vast selection for a great value in our 6 for $60 and 5 for $75 selections.

WineStyles has a full event schedule every month including weekly Friday night tastings (free for Wine Club Members otherwise just $5), wine education classes, and quarterly Wine Dinners. Most recently the quaint storefront introduced Wine Flights to the menu. Flights give consumers the option to choose 3 red or 3 white wines and have a taste of each.

WineStyles Park Ridge offers wines from all over the world, along with lesser known vineyards that you won't find everywhere, and beers from all over the country (plus a few European beers). Having tried every wine in the store, Wilderman can help you choose the perfect bottle for your taste and for any occasion.

In addition to owning WineStyles Park Ridge, Emily serves on the Park Ridge Chamber Board of Directors and enjoys attending events each month. Business After Hours and Young Professionals Networking are her favorite due to the social, relaxed nature of the events and networking opportunities she has gained through her attendance.
