Park Ridge 2nd-Grader's Death Wasn't Suspicious: Police
The Cook County medical examiner's office still needs more time to determine Kate Babich's cause of death.

Park Ridge, IL—While police don't suspect Kate Babich died from suspicious circumstances, it might be some time before a cause of death is determined for the Park Ridge second-grader, the Daily Herald reports.
Kate, 7, was a camper at Cheer Camp at Maine South High School who became sick Monday morning and was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. She was pronounced dead hours later at the hospital.

Park Ridge police told the Herald they had finish their investigation into Kate's death and believe she most likely died of natural causes. An autopsy conducted Tuesday couldn't find a cause of death, and the Cook County medical examiner's office will need another six to eight weeks to make a determination, the report added.
