Park Ridge Chamber Members Give Toys to Marines' 'Toys for Tots'

The last networking event of 2013 for the Women in Business group of the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce was held last Friday at Cafe Zalute & Retro Bar in Rosemont, a new Chamber member.

Guests were asked to bring an unwrapped toy for the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign. At the end of the luncheon, Joe Reichert from Amlings Cycle, picked up all the toys.

Reichert started a Holiday Toy Bike Ride 11 years ago and will again bike on Friday, December 13. He invites everyone to ride their bikes with him, starting at Amlings Cycle in Niles and bike to Mystic Celt restaurant (about 12 miles away) to meet a waiting truck from the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. Mystic Celt will graciously serve breakfast after the toys are dropped off. They're also looking for volunteers to help with the ride, build trailers, load trailers, drive a support vehicle, and more. For more information & registration, visit www.toyridechicago.com.
