The Park Ridge Chamber Sponsors Sunday Supper at St. Luke's Lutheran Church
On December 20, Chamber members donated funds and showed up to serve almost 100 hungry guests a delicious holiday meal.

Each Sunday evening between Labor Day and Memorial Day, St. Luke’s Lutheran Church opens its doors to feed those who have difficulty providing enough food for themselves and their families. The Park Ridge Chamber sponsored the Sunday Supper before Christmas Day at St Luke’s Lutheran Church on December 20. Chamber members donated funds to cover the catering and showed up to serve, prep, and clean up after the supper. Almost 100 hungry guests were fed a delectable meal of Roasted Turkey with Sage Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Mixed Vegetables, Salad, Bread & Butter which was catered by All on the Road Catering. Additionally, Whole Foods Market donated loaves of bread for the guests to take home and the South Park Cleaners laundered all of the table cloths.
Under the auspices of the Park Ridge Ministerial Association, a hot meal is provided by one of 19 participating congregations or civic organizations. The chosen organization provides tasty meals for 100 people and approximately 12 volunteers serve the guests and clean up after the supper. The guests are also provided with take home containers for any of the remaining food items.
During the 2013-2014 season, over 2,000 meals were served in a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you again, St. Luke’s volunteers!
