Park Ridge Man Charged With Child Porn

The 31-year-old is accused of having more than 100 images and videos of children under 13 years old engaged in sexual acts.

A Park Ridge man faces a pair of felonies when a search warrant at his home recovered a computer that allegedly contained large amounts of child pornography.

Thomas Masse, 31 was charged with distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography after police located him shortly after the search conducted by the Cook County Internet Crimes Task Force Tuesday, according to the Office of State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez.

Prosecutors say a law enforcement investigation led to an IP address associated with Masse’s home as sharing multiple videos depicting children under the age of 13 engaging in sex acts. A forensic analysis of the device revealed more than 100 digital video files and images of children engaged in illegal and harmful sexual activities.

Masse appeared in bond court at the Cook County Courthouse in Rolling Meadows where Judge Michael Hood set his bond at $50,000. He will appear in court November 5.

The Park Ridge Police Department assisted in the investigation.
