Park Ridge Police Blotter: Attempted Booze Theft Foiled and More
The following information was provided by the Park Ridge Police department. When an arrest is referenced it should not be considered a conviction.

Booze Theft Foiled
Someone placed five hair coloring boxes in a bag, but then left them on the shelf of a store in the 1900 block of S. Cumberland Avenue on July 29. The individual left the store.
A second person then placed three bottles of alcohol in a bag and left the store on foot.
When security attempted to stop the individuals, they placed the three bottles in the median on Higgins and left the area.
One person was described as a white female, about 30 years old, five feet four inches tall and about 120 pounds with auburn hair. She was wearing a black sweatshirt, pink pants, white socks, tan shoes and carrying a black backpack.
The other individual was described as being a black male, about 30 years old, six feet tall, 180 pounds, bald with brown eyes. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark shorts, white socks, black shoes and carrying a black backpack.
Car Burglaries
A vehicle in the 1100 block of N. Knight Avenue was burglarized on July 28. A jacket, hat, sunglasses and money were taken from the victim's vehicle. A second vehicle was burglarized in the same area on July 28. In the second incident, five wrenches were taken.
Shelf Stolen
A metal shelf was taken from the yard of a residence in the 500 block of S. Lincoln Avenue on July 28. The shelf was placed in a pick-up truck.
Refrigerator Taken
A working refrigerator was removed from the yard of a residence in the 1800 block of S. Brophy on July 25.
Window Smashed
A rear passenger window of a 2004 Chevy was smashed in a parking lot in the 2700 block of W. Sibley Avenue on July 29.
