Park Ridge Police Blotter: Man With Air Rifle Faces Criminal Charge

Man With Air Rifle Faces Criminal Charges
Shaun Phillips, 20, of Matteson, was charged with disorderly conduct on Aug. 9. Police said he visited a Park Ridge skate park in the first block of Busse Higway told people he had a "sniper rifle."
Police said that Phillips' statement and the fact the air rifle resembled a real gun caused alarm and panic at the park.
Rosary Stolen
A 2002 Chevrolet Impala was burglarized in the 500 block of N. Root Street on either August 6 or August 7. Taken from the vehicle was a rosary and sunglasses.
Letters Taken From Sign
Someone removed letters from a sign and damaged spot lights by the sign in the first block of S. Washington on either August 5 or August 6.
