Park Ridge Police Blotter: Suspicious Incident Involving Man Following Young Girl
The following information came from the Park Ridge Police Department.

Suspicious Incident
A young girl was walking on Summit when a man in his 50s in a newer black pick-up truck waved his hand and motioned her to his vehicle. The girl walked across the railroad tracks and the man in the truck continued to follow her. As the girl approached the police department, the man continued south on Prospect.
Stranger in Honda Pilot
A 2006 Honda Pilot was burglarized in the 1600 block of S. Canfield. The individual saw a person in the vehicle on Aug. 18. The individual fled the area. The victim later found that money was missing from the vehicle. Also, a 2004 Acura MDX that was parked in the same driveway was ransacked.
Sunglasses Taken
Someone entered an unlocked 2010 Nissan Altima and took two pairs of sunglasses on either Aug. 17 or Aug. 18.
Trunk Damaged
Someone damaged the inside portion of the trunk locking mechanism of a 1998 Buick LeSabre in the 2600 block of W. Oakton on Aug. 16.
