Tow Truck Driver Punched
Anthony Franceschi, 22, of Park Ridge, was charged with battery Aug. 8. Police said that Franceschi punched a tow truck driver who was towing a car at 7:15 p.m. from his residence in the 1800 block of Birch. Police said that unbeknownst to Franceschi, his parents had called the driver to have to car towed to a repair shop.
Garage Burglarized
Someone entered a garage in the 800 block of Hanson on Aug. 6 or Aug. 7 and took a golf bag with clubs and golf shoes. A 2011 Lexus that was parked in the garage also was searched, but nothing was taken.
Window Damaged
Someone damaged a window on a vehicle parked in the 1300 block of N. Parkside on Aug. 3 or Aug. 4. The 2013 Ford Explorer was parked in a driveway at the time of the incident.
