Attempted Burglary
Someone broke into an apartment in the first block of S. Prospect Avenue on June 1. A light bulb also was removed from outside the apartment.
Vandalism
Three male white youths used a skateboard to damage a hanging exit sign in the first block of N. Summit Avenue. The individuals were described as being between 10 and 13 years old and the incident happened on May 31.
Burglary to Motor Vehicle
A 2013 Ford Escape was burglarized in the 1400 block of Brophy Avenue on May 27. A wallet was removed that contained various credit cards. Several unauthorized charges were made.
A 2003 Ford Windstar was burglarized in the first block of N. Clinton Street sometime between May 5 and May 7. A gym bag and head phones were removed.
Theft
A wallet containing credit cards, money and ID cards was taken from the waiting area of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital on June 1. The wallet later was found in a garbage can but the items were missing.
Bench Taken
A couple in their 40s removed an aluminum bench from near the victim's garage and put it in their dark brown pickup with wood side rails. The incident happened in the 200 block of Austin Avenue.
