Park Ridge Police: Men Tried to Lure 14-Year-Old Girl Into Vehicle

Two men attempted to get a 14-year-old girl to get into a car in the 1100 block of Northwest Highway on May 29 at about 8:50 p.m. Park Ridge police stated.

The girl ran from the scene and told her parents about what had happened. Here is the statement from the Park Ridge Police Department:

Park Ridge Police are investigating a suspicious incident which occurred in the 1100 Block of Northwest Highway on May 29, 2013 at approximately 8:50 pm. At that time, a 14 year old female walking in the area was approached by two subjects in vehicle.

The passenger asked the victim if she wanted to get into the car. The victim ran from the scene and reported the incident to her parents. The subjects never left the vehicle or made an attempt to physically restrain the victim. The subjects are described as two African American males in their 20’s. The passenger was wearing a grey shirt and blue 
jeans.

The vehicle left southeast bound on Northwest Highway.
