Property Tax Assessment Appeal Seminar scheduled for Maine Township Oct. 3
Maine Township is open for appeal through Tuesday, Oct. 24
A property tax assessment an appeal seminar for residents of Maine Township seeking to appeal their 2017 property tax assessments will be held at Maine Township Town Hall, 1700 Ballard Road, Park Ridge, Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 6:30 p.m. Taxes may be appealed through Tuesday, Oct. 24.
Sponsored by Susan Moylan Krey, Maine Township Assessor; Peter Silvestri, Commissioner Cook County Board; Michael McAuliffe, State Representative; and Marty Moylan, State Representative; the hour-long seminar will help residents learn how to appeal property tax assessments. The seminar includes a presentation by Commissioner Dan Patlak who will explain the appeal procedure at the Board of Review.
Taxpayers, who are asked to bring a copy of their most recent tax bill, will have an opportunity to work with staff from the Board of Review to address their specific questions and concerns at the end of the seminar.
