Rachel Barton Pine Visits Schools

Maine South and Maine East High Schools in Park Ridge hosted famed guest artist Rachel Barton Pine on Monday, February 10th, , where she played musical excerpts and demonstrated techniques of multiple music styles.  Ms. Barton Pine took questions from the over 150 students in two workshops.  Asking for their input, she included the students' suggestions of moods and emotions that can be expressed in musical performance.  From classical to heavy metal, the range of her playing dazzled and amazed all present.

With the luxury of time at the end of the school day, Maine East students were treated to an impromptu photo session, posing with Rachel Barton Pine for their picture and even an autograph or two.
