The Woman’s Playbook for Successful Communications In Business and in Life

Speaker: Deborah K. Taber, Senior Partner, Leadership Dimensions Consulting Group

With many years as a management consultant and executive coach to both men and women in business, Deborah Taber brings a unique wealth of experience and useful stories for women who want to better succeed in their businesses and in their lives. She will outline the differences between men and women’s communication’s styles. She will also highlight the many nuances and advantages that women innately possess over their male counterparts – but don’t always recognize as strengths! (e.g.: Women tend to be more relationship-driven, more collaborative and more process-focused than men.)

She will also provide a working set of recommendations and insights for how to manage and influence others successfully during difficult conversations or in times of crisis. She will talk about practical ways for you to exercise and improve these skills. Included will be tips for how to improve your emotional agility and incorporate it into your life every day.

Deborah has over twenty-five years of experience in organizational development and human resources. She successfully runs her own OD consulting firm. She has also worked as a management consultant for Ernst & Young and The Hay Group. Her clients include; healthcare; pharmaceuticals; not-for-profit associations; manufacturing; insurance; financial services; hospitality and education.

Deborah holds a B.A. in History from St. Mary’s College, South Bend, Indiana and an MSMOB from Benedictine University in Lyle, Illinois. Deborah is a noted speaker and seminar leader for numerous associations and groups including A.S.T.D., A.S.H.H.R.A., The American Bar Association, HRMAC and various CEO Roundtables. She is a trained coach with Coaches Training Institute and she is also a qualified instructor for the MBTI and MRG’s LEA 360 assessment tool. She was also on the executive board of Chicago Healthcare Executive Forum and Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association. She is also a certified trainer/instructor in Accelerated Innovative Thinking Programs.
