Summit hosts Good Scout Breakfast
Summit of Uptown hosted the Blackhawk Good Scout Breakfast where Park Ridge Police Chief Frank Kaminski was honored recently

When the Blackhawk District of Boy Scouts of America looked for just the right venue for its Good Scout Breakfast that was held Tuesday, Oct. 11, Summit of Uptown was the perfect solution, according to David Donovan who coordinated the event. The breakfast was just one more example of the vital role Summit has played as a convenient gathering place for people of all ages across the entire community.
Honored for his community service at the breakfast, Park Ridge Police Chief Frank Kaminski served as keynote speaker at the event which drew more than 40 people. Past president of the Park Ridge Kiwanis Club-Noon, Kaminski has been Chief of Police in Park Ridge since 2009. Involved in Special Olympics since its inception in 1986, he participates annually in the organization's Polar Bear Plunge and is an active supporter of the Eagle Scout Program.
"These events are one of the tangible ways we seek to be part of this community and contribute to the quality of life in Park Ridge," said Wilson Anhar, Executive Director of Summit of Uptown. "But there is an equally important benefit for the people who call Summit home. When they see business and civic leaders coming and going at the various events and functions such as this breakfast, they know they are really part of the vibrant community that lies just beyond our doors.”
