Summit Hosts Retrospective Fashion Show to Benefit Local Senior Agency
The Summit of Uptown works with many local charities and civic groups throughout the year. Here's an event for The Center of Concern.
Another successful event for The Summit!
Over 50 people enjoyed tea, some savory treats and a look at “Decades of Dresses”, a retrospective fashion show hosted by The Summit of Uptown, Park Ridge, on Nov. 16.
The afternoon event was a fundraiser for The Center of Concern, a Park Ridge based agency that serves the housing and other needs of seniors. The show’s presenter, Ruth Thomas, not only displayed a fabulous collection of dresses, hats, and shoes from the late 1890’s and early 1900’s but explained the historical and social contexts of the fashions.
