Summit of Uptown partners with Kiwanis Clubs to help brighten the holidays

Summit of Uptown staff and residents joined with Kiwanis club in their longstanding project to provide holiday food baskets for the needy.

When Summit of Uptown partnered with the Kiwanis Club of Park Ridge-Noon and the Kiwanis Club of Park Ridge-Morning in the Kiwanis Holiday Food Basket for School District 64 Families in Need, Kiwanis members, Summit staff members and people who call Summit home took time from their own holiday festivities Tuesday, Dec. 20, to help make the holidays more joyful for 37 less fortunate families from District 64. A longstanding Kiwanis project, the holiday food basket program was also augmented this year with a monetary donation from Summit—in lieu of sending out Christmas cards—which helped purchase gift cards from Mariano’s for each family who also received a turkey and dessert item thanks to Mariano’s vouchers.
