Tickets are still available for the Park Ridge “Noon” Kiwanis Club 29th annual homemade spaghetti dinner which is planned for Friday, Feb. 5. Frank Kaminski, president, said that people who come to the dinner will find the good food and good time they have come to expect while they support the community organizations and projects supported by the club.
Spaghetti dinner chair, Dick Larsen, reminded everyone of the change in location to Park Ridge Presbyterian Church, 1300 W. Crescent Avenue, Park Ridge. “This is the third year that the dinner will be held in the new location. Having outgrown the quarters so generously provided to us for 26 years at First United Methodist Church, we are looking forward to accommodating the increasing numbers of folks who look forward to our dinner which has become a popular event for the entire community.” Serving hours run from 4:45 to 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children six to 12. There is no charge for children under six. Dine in and carry out options are available. For tickets, call Dave Donovan, secretary, at 847-692-9077.
Proceeds of the event will support such projects as Christmas baskets for those in need, July 4th Kiddie Day Parade, education scholarships, the Kalo Foundation, Maine Township High School District 207 School Based Health Clinic based at Maine East, Park Ridge Library children’s programming and spastic paralysis research. In addition to homemade spaghetti, the evening features a raffle and entertainment by the Chordmasters who will serenade at each table. The Chordmasters are part of the Arlingtones Barbershop Chorus http://arlingtones.net/index.html.
