USA Warriors hockey teams at Oakton Ice Arena!

Exciting news! The USA Warriors hockey teams will be making
an appearance at Oakton on Saturday March 1!

Here is some information about the Warriors from their
website:

“The USA
Warriors Ice Hockey Program is designed to give military veterans who have been
injured in military action the chance to play hockey in an environment that is
suited to their needs.

The USA
Warriors Ice Hockey Program trains and supplies Injured Servicemen and women
with Hockey equipment and the skills needed to use the sport of Ice Hockey as a
rehabilitation tool to overcome both physical and mental Injuries sustained
either in combat or in defense of the United States of America”

The Warriors have two teams – one standing team and one sled
hockey team.

The Warriors are being hosted by the Blackhawks, and due to
our good relationship with their youth hockey department, the Hawks asked us if
we would have the Warriors at our rink for our Try Hockey For Free event.

The Warriors will be at Oakton interacting with the kids
from approximately 3-4pm on Saturday before heading to Soldier Field for the
Hawks/Penguins game.
