Woman with Dog Asks Cabbie for Coffee and Steals His Taxi

A woman holding a small white dog stole a taxi while the cabbie was inside a Dunkin’ Donuts buying coffee for her.

The driver told Park Ridge police he stopped at the donut shop at 742 Higgins Road at night on June 18 and left his cab running - according to the Chicago Tribune. The woman approached and asked him to buy her coffee, he agreed and then saw her drive off with the blue and white 2008 Dodge Caravan.

Another cab driver spotted the vehicle near the I-294 Hinsdale Oasis five days later.

The owner picked up the cab. No arrests have been made.
