The Peoria County Election Commission will be hosting a joint regional press conference on Thursday, March 5 at 10:00 a.m. to discuss the potential impact of the COVID-19 virus on the upcoming Illinois General Primary Election on March 17. The press conference will be held at the Election Commission, located at 4422 Brandywine Drive, Ste 1 in Peoria.

The Election Commission will be reiterating the availability of Vote by Mail for Illinois residents who may be hesitant to vote in person at crowded polling locations due to the impact of COVID-19. The deadline to apply for Vote by Mail for the General Primary Election is Thursday, March 12. All ballots received postmarked on or before March 17 will be counted.
