Peoria To Broadcast Memorial Day Ceremony On WTVP
The Peoria Memorial Association "believes in the importance of this ceremony," which will be broadcast 12:30 p.m. Monday.

The annual City of Peoria Memorial Day Ceremony, organized by the Peoria Memorial Association, that is usually held under the Gateway Building on the Riverfront will be a little different this year. The Peoria Memorial Association believes in the importance of this ceremony for the community and will broadcast a 30 minute production on WTVP at 12:30 P.M. on Monday, May 25.

The Memorial Day program will also be streamed live of WTVP’s Facebook page and website.
While this year’s production may look slightly different, there will be many familiar faces including Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis and Lee Wenger. A special tribute to Ben Desilets and sung by Joe Stamm, will also be featured.

The Memorial Day production will be re-aired on Memorial Day night at 6:30 p.m. on WTVP’s World Channel.
City offices will be closed on May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.
