Prospect Road Traffic Signal Maintenance Set For April 29

The northbound traffic signal on Prospect Road at the intersection with War Memorial Drive will undergo routine maintenance Thursday.

Commuters who are still heading into the office this week despite the State of Illinois’ stay-at-home executive order may want to steer clear of the Prospect Road and War Memorial Drive intersection this Thursday morning. The northbound traffic signal on Prospect will undergo routine rewiring and other maintenance.

Motorists can expect minor delays as traffic will be paired down to one lane on northbound Prospect Road at War Memorial Drive. Stop signs and other control signs will be in place to alert drivers of the temporary traffic changes. The work should begin around 8:30 a.m. and wrap up by 2 p.m., weather permitting.

This is one of nearly 250 traffic signals maintained by the Public Works Traffic Division throughout the City and Peoria County.
