Four portable toilets and hand sanitizing stations have been placed at two locations in Downtown Peoria to serve vulnerable populations in response to COVID-19. City of Peoria staff collaborated with the Home for All Continuum of Care and Jolt Foundation to understand the need in the community and enact this change to improve health and social service outcomes for those experiencing homelessness.
Two portable toilets and hand sanitizing stations are located at CityLink, 407 SW Adams Street, Peoria, Illinois, 61602 and two portable toilets and hand sanitizing stations are located at the Peoria Public Library Main Branch, 107 NE Monroe Street, Peoria, Illinois, 61602. Both locations will be serviced and cleaned daily to ensure that these facilities continue to provide for the health and safety of those experiencing homelessness.

The Home for All Continuum of Care is a partnership of over 50 cross-sector agencies working to end homelessness in the region. Its partners continue to reach out to individuals experiencing homelessness to offer shelter and other vital social services. This coalition of nonprofit partners in collaboration with the City of Peoria has successfully maintained contact with much of the population and continues to offer support to those in need.
