Rural Peoria County Motor Vehicle Collision Death
According to the Peoria County Sheriff's Office, a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling southbound on Southport Road when it left roadway.

On Monday, March 2, 2020 at approximately 1:50 p.m., the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police, Brimfield Fire Department, and OSF Life Flight helicopter were called to the 1500 block of West Southport Road, just east of Eden Road, for a single vehicle rollover with injuries.

According to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office, a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am was traveling southbound on Southport Road when it left the roadway and rolled multiple times, landing in a field on the south side of the road.
After aggressive resuscitative efforts by EMS and Life Flight staff, the passenger, 18-year-old Matthew W. McCuan, of Schweer Court in Peoria, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:04 p.m. An autopsy is scheduled for March 3, 2020.
