$1K In Stolen LEGO Sets Leads To Charge For Repeat Plainfield Thief: Plainfield Police
The woman reportedly stole LEGO sets valued at more than $1,000 from Target on Route 59 in Plainfield, police said.
PLAINFIELD, IL — A Plainfield woman will go before a Will County judge after police said she stole more than $1,000 worth of LEGO sets from Target.
Plainfield officers were dispatched to Target, 12800 S. Route 59, at about 5 p.m. May 4, after the asset protection team leader for the store witnessed a woman remove the packaging and security device from a LEGO set, Cmdr. Anthony Novak told Patch.
The team leader told police the woman, identified as Meagan Marie Fowler, 35, had stolen various LEGO sets from Target on 10 occasions, with their total value amounting to $1,100, Novak said.

The Target employee stopped her from stealing another toy after she passed the last point of sale, according to police. Fowler was being held in the store's security office when police arrived.
Fowler, of the 14000 block of South Danbury Drive in Plainfield, was issued a notice to appear in court for a charge of retail theft. Her arrest was listed in Wednesday's blotter.
