2 School Buses Crash At Eichelberger Elementary: Plainfield Police

PLAINFIELD, IL — No kids were injured in a crash between two school buses Wednesday morning at Eichelberger Elementary School, Plainfield police said.

Officers were dispatched at 8:52 a.m. to the elementary school, located off Essington Road, for the crash. Investigators determined one bus was stopped in the curb lane to drop off students when it was rear-ended by another school bus, Cmdr. Anthony Novak told Patch.

A total of 55 passengers — 44 in one and seven in the other — were aboard the buses when the crash occurred. Both buses sustained minimal damage, police said.

No injuries were reported, and no citations were issued.
