3 Hospitalized, 1 Trapped In Car After Monday Crash: Plainfield FD

The crash involving two cars happened at the intersection of Route 30 and 119th Street in Plainfield.

PLAINFIELD, IL — Three people were hospitalized after two cars crashed Monday afternoon, according to officials at the Plainfield Fire Protection District.

One engine, one rescue squad, three ambulances and one battalion chief responded at 12:02 p.m. after the cars crashed at the intersection of 119th Street and Route 30. One person was trapped in a car, and both were heavily damaged, according to a news release.

Three patients were treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital. Two were in good condition, and one was in critical condition, officials said.

Route 30 remains closed as of around 3:45 p.m. while detectives investigate the crash. Officials said they don't know how long until the road will reopen.
