6 Hurt In I-55 Crash: State Police

PLAINFIELD, IL — Six people were transported to area hospitals after a serious crash on northbound I-55 near Route 126 Saturday. Illinois State Police responded to the three-vehicle crash north of Route 30 at 12:22 p.m.

Police said six people were taken to area hospitals. Although a press release said the crash involved serious injuries, police did not immediately release information on the condition of the six people who were transported.

All northbound lanes were shut down and traffic was being diverted to Route 30. Police are asking drivers to use caution in the area.
