7 D202 Students Headed To Will County Regional Spelling Bee
Since the students won their middle schools' spelling bees, they're advancing to the Will County bee in March.
PLAINFIELD, IL — Seven middle schoolers from Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 will compete in the regional spelling bee March 17.
These students are this year's middle school Spelling Bee champions:
- Aux Sable: Gian Avila (7th grade)
- Drauden Point: George Picard (7th grade)
- Heritage Grove: Andrew Molina (6th grade)
- Indian Trail: Paul-Ryan Dogo (7th grade)
- Ira Jones: Durrat-us-Sharaf Zaki (8th grade)
- John F. Kennedy: Yousuf Awan (8th grade)
- Timber Ridge: Aisha Chavda (7th grade
Since the students won their schools' bees, they'll move on to the 2026 Will County Regional Spelling Bee at Lincoln-Way West High School. If they win there, they'll advance to the national Spelling Bee on May 28 in Maryland.
