An Abundance of December Events at the Plainfield Park District!

The Plainfield Park District has a plethora of family fun activities and events for all ages to enjoy in the month of December!

On December 9 from 6:30-8p children ages 1-6 w/parent are invited to join the Park District in Santa’s Workshop (program #11413A1). Located at Heritage Grove Middle School, 12425 S. Van Dyke Rd. Bring your wish list to share with Santa and get your picture taken. The rest of the evening will be filled with crafts, yummy snacks and fun games; it will be an evening full of fun and excitement for everyone! Pictures will be taken from 6:30-7:15p (each child will receive 1 photo with Santa) Parents may bring their cameras for additional pictures. We will end our evening with a story read by Santa! Cost R $12/NR $18 per person.

Get the whole family involved with our Holiday Lights Contest (program #16409A1)! Participate in our 3rd annual Holiday outdoor decorating contest! The contest is open to all Plainfield Park District residents. Prizes will be given for two categories: musical and non-musical house! Judging will take place on Dec. 17 from 5-10p. All decorations must be visible from the sidewalk. A map of addresses will be available on our website by Dec. 15. Cost is $5 per household.

Ring in the New Year at the Park District’s Noon Year’s Countdown Dec. 31 from 11a-12:30p at the Stream Recreation Center, 24319 Cedar Creek Ln., Plainfield. Children will have a great time ringing in the New Year at Noon! We will have fun games, crafts and songs to add to the celebration. At noon we will have a count down with a balloon drop, a great way for kids to ring in a new year! This program is geared for children ages 1-6 w/parent. Cost R $12/NR $15 per person.
