Part Of Route 59 Closes For 2 Days In Downtown Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, IL — Part of Route 59 in downtown Plainfield will be restricted to drivers Monday and Tuesday, village officials said.

Contractors will close the outside lane of southbound Route 59 starting at the alley between Chicago and Ottawa streets and extending to the alley between Commercial and Ottawa streets.

The lane closure will last from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. both days to accommodate commuter traffic, officials said.
