Brenda Jean Brooks Obituary

Evangelist Brenda Jean Brooks, age 64, of Peoria, mother of a Plainfield resident, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011.

She was born Dec. 24, 1946, in Woodson, Ark., the daughter of Joann and Curley Smith.

Brenda left the workforce in late 1998 to work full time in ministry.

She is survived by her four children, Sheila (Lance) of Plainfield, Ill., Terri of Peoria, Ill., and Arthur Jr. (Gloria) and Phillip (LaTacha), both of Woodridge respectfully; six grandchildren, Sharneka, Kevin, Jamariah, Breana, Phillip Jr. and Samuel; one brother; and three sisters.

She will be laid to rest in Chicago, Ill. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, at Greater Holy Temple, 246 N. California Ave., Chicago, IL 60612.
